1845. Rimini commemorates the 1845 liberal uprising

on September 23, 1845, a brief but intense liberal uprising broke out in Rimini — a kind of first state-level moment of the Risorgimento in the Romagna region. Though short-lived, it had a strong symbolic impact and inspired influential writings, including those of Massimo d’Azeglio.
