The republicans put the name of a street of the "Colonia Fàbrica" to the date "19th July". It was a reaction to the celebration, in the pro-Franco side, of the 18th July, known like "National Uprising Day".

That day, the resistance stopped at Oradour-sur-Vayres a train full of heavily armed soldiers. After heavy fighting, despite the presence of enemy reinforcements that Hitler did arrive from the regional capital, resistance forced the enemy to retreat and surrender. Seven soldiers of the resistance paid with their lives.
